Jean Gan

 Meet Jean Gan, the visionary behind AIgnite Women.

Jean is a senior in-house legal counsel with 15 years of experience advising global organisations on contracts, compliance, and governance. She is also pursuing a PhD in Law focused on AI governance, dispute resolution, and access to justice.

Through her work, Jean has seen how conversations about AI governance often centre on corporations and institutions, while the voices of individuals, especially women, remain overlooked. She believes that meaningful change begins when women step forward, speak with confidence, and take the initiative to shape how technology is built, governed, and used.

Driven by that belief, Jean founded AIgnite Women, a global movement that amplifies women’s leadership in AI, law, and ethics. Her mission is to ensure women are not only part of the conversation but leading it - defining what fairness, accountability, and innovation should look like in practice.

Jean believes leadership in the age of AI must be guided by empathy, courage, and collaboration. Through AIgnite Women, she continues to ignite awareness, empower action, and inspire women everywhere to lead with purpose and integrity. ✨
